YONG KYUN SHIN
Joining the ranks of the many Avant-garde creatives that have dressed the extravagant Icelandic singer Bjork.Yong Kyun Shin has proved to be one of the most exciting designers emerging from the Asian fashion scene today.
Born in South Korea, Shin graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2012 with a Masters in womenswear and has since gone on to gain tremendous success.
Shin achieved global recognition for his ground breaking graduate collection, winning the International Talent Support, 2012 ‘Fashion Special Prize’ as well as being named by Vogue Italia in their pick of the top 160 emerging designers of 2011.
Most recently Shin took part in the South Korean competition ‘Top Designer’ for which he was awarded first prize in August 2013, allowing the designer to launch his own store ‘Alogon’ in South Korean’s most popular department store Doota.
